The program provides services to manage the symptoms of mental illness and the challenges of independent living.

The program provides adults with structured individual and group sessions designed to develop and enhance independent living skills and the management of mental illness symptoms. The goal is to assist individuals with the transition from a long period of hospitalization to successfully re-enter the community and to assist those individuals already in the community with maintaining and enhancing their skills.

Criteria for enrollment in PRP-A

To enroll in PRP-A, the participant must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be 18 – 62 years of age
  • Must be Medicaid eligible
  • Must be in the care of a therapist, psychiatrist, or any other licensed medical provider
  • Must not be currently hospitalized
  • Must not be currently incarcerated
  • Must have a willingness to receive services
  • Must reside in Maryland

Scope:

As a participant in our Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program for Adults, you will receive:

  • A comprehensive mental health assessment
  • An Individualized rehabilitation plan customized for your specific needs
  • 6-8 counseling sessions per month conducted by a highly trained PRP counselor
  • Assistance with applying for and maintaining entitlement benefits
  • Assistance with identifying and/or maintaining gainful employment
